Fabric & Material
The Work Cap - WC is available in two different fabrics,
each offering its own distinctive character and aging process.
Indigo is crafted from 10oz Indigo Denim,
selected for its clear, deep blue tone and the rich fading that develops with wear.
Black and Brown are made from sulfur-dyed duck canvas.
The dry, rugged texture recalls traditional workwear fabrics,
while repeated wear gradually creates natural fading, contrast and distinctive wear marks.
Natural uses an undyed-style natural duck canvas,
allowing the raw character and subtle variation of the cotton fabric itself to stand out.

About STEVENSON OVERALL CO.
STEVENSON OVERALL CO. was established in 2005 through the collaboration
between Zip Stevenson of HTC, often known as “Dr. Denim,” and Atsumori Tagaya.
The brand takes inspiration from early American workwear and vintage clothing,
especially the construction techniques and details found in garments from the
early 20th century.
From the beginning, STEVENSON OVERALL CO. has placed particular importance
on craftsmanship and traditional sewing techniques, including
single-needle flat-felled construction once commonly used before the 1920s.
Rather than simply reproducing vintage garments, the brand reinterprets
forgotten designs and details as contemporary clothing —
creating pieces that feel both old and new, modern yet timeless.
STEVENSON OVERALL CO.について
「Dr. Denim」の異名を持つHTC代表兼デザイナー
Zip Stevensonと、多賀谷強守。
ふたりの出会いをきっかけに、STEVENSON OVERALL CO.は2005年にスタートしました。
1930年代、アメリカ・インディアナ州には良質なワークウェアを生産していた
小さな工場が存在していました。
世界恐慌の影響を受けて閉鎖されたその工場のものづくりに対する姿勢と歴史を知り、
さらに当時の経営者の親族と偶然にも出会う機会を得たことから、
その工場名とZip Stevensonのラストネームが同じであった縁を受け継ぎ、
「STEVENSON OVERALL CO.」の名で新たなブランドとして歩み始めました。
ブランド創立当初は、ふたりが最も得意とする
デニムパンツとベルトの製作からスタート。
中でも重要視したのが、1920年代以前の縫製仕様である
「一本針の折伏せ縫い」です。
決して効率だけを優先した製法ではありませんが、
手仕事から生まれる独特の表情や味わいを大切にする姿勢は、
ブランド創立時から現在まで一貫しています。
STEVENSON OVERALL CO.のプロダクトは、
現在では忘れられつつあるデザインやディテールなど、
ヴィンテージクロージングから多くのインスピレーションを受けています。
しかし、それらを単純に再現するのではなく、
「古くて新しい。モダンでありながら普遍的。」
という相反する要素をひとつのプロダクトに落とし込み、
現代の衣服として再構築しています。
